MINNEAPOLIS (WCCO) — If you’re going to be out driving over Memorial Day Weekend, the Minnesota Department of Transportation wants to remind you to slow down when you’re going through construction zones.

The holiday weekend is often a busy time for driving as we travel for family events or head out for a relaxing weekend at the cabin. It also serves as a good reminder to slow down as we drive through work zones. MnDOT officials said some projects will be suspended over Memorial Day Weekend, but many others will go on as scheduled and could cause some delays across the state.
