Excellent Educator: Mr. Jon Olson Of Andover Elementary

MINNEAPOLIS (WCCO) -- The school year may be winding down, but there is still time to honor our educators! This week's Excellent Educator has many talents, from teaching third grade to starring in his own music video.

Mr. Jon Olson of Andover Elementary will go to any length to get kids excited about reading. His choreographed music video with lyrics "It's all about the books, keep reading" is sticking with students.

"When I was a third grade student I wanted to be a third grade teacher," said Olson. "This is right where I want to be it's great."

Olson says reading is vital for his students.

"It helps them with everything they do, the more they read, the better they get at every subject," he said.
