Study: Dogs Can Sense When Their Owner Is Mistreated
MINNEAPOLIS (WCCO) – Apparently, we call dogs man's best friend for a reason.
A new study shows dogs can tell when people are not being kind to their owners.
Japanese researchers conducted an experiment where groups of 18 dogs each watched their owners interact with two strangers and try to open a box.
In one group, the dog owner asked for help and was refused.
In another other group, help was given.
After the interaction the two strangers offered the dog food.
The dogs were more like to ignore the person who refused to help.
