Terminal 2 Expansion Project Pushes Forward Despite Questions Around Sun Country
MINNEAPOLIS (WCCO) – Despite questions about the future of Sun Country Airlines, the expansion of Terminal 2 will proceed.
The Metropolitan Airports Commission voted Monday night to accept a $26 million bid from Knutson Construction.
The commissioners said that adding three more gates will be good for the airport regardless of what happens with Sun Country.
Last month Sun Country's Chairman said the airline was downsizing because management hadn't been able to reach a new contract with the pilots.
