MINNEAPOLIS (WCCO) — Longtime WCCO weatherman Bud Kraehling will be remembered this weekend during a public celebration.

Kraehlings family will be holding a memorial event Saturday at the Minnesota History Center in St. Paul. It will be from 1 p.m. to 4 p.m.

Kraehling died June 3 at the age of 96. He brought Minnesotans the weather for several decades, watching technology evolve along the way.

In 1958, he helped use the first weather radar in the Twin Cities.

Kraehling retired in 1996.
