Get Movin' Monday: Workouts You Can Fit In Anywhere

MINNEAPOLIS (WCCO) -- Getting into better shape in definitely a challenge for both your body and mind, perhaps no more so than when you're taking a break at the lake or the cabin.

This week on Get Movin' Monday, Jason DeRusha and Kim Johnson were looking for help getting prepared for those summer fitness challenges.

Fitness expert Irie Collins says that no matter what the circumstances, the best exercise you can do to get in shape is the one you actually do. In other words, if the activity is getting your heart rate up, it's preferable to doing nothing at all.

Still, there are some routines that are a lot easier to work up the initiative to complete, and Collins demonstrated a very simple, nine-round circuit which involved 30-second sets of jab cross kicks, squat curl presses and ab planks, alternating with a set of jump rope.
