Workout With The Lynx, Watch Them Face Phoenix Sunday

MINNEAPOLIS (WCCO) -- The Minnesota Lynx have already punched their ticket to the WNBA playoffs.

They did that nearly two weeks ago during a comeback win over the San Antonio Stars. That's five straight years of playoff basketball for this decorated team, which has won two WNBA titles.

The Lynx are at the top of the standings right now in the Western Conference with 19-9 record.

So for fans, now is the chance to step on the home court at the Target Center. The Lynx have teamed up with a Minneapolis gym, Alchemy, to help you stay fit for Sunday's game.

The crew from Alchemy and Prowl joined Ali Lucia up on the roof top Wednesday morning.

The Lynx have just five games left before the playoffs. You can help them stay in playoff shape.

Fans can purchase the Minnesota Lynx Alchemy Ticket Deal and get a playoff ticket in the process. Here is how it works. For $15, fans get a spot in the A10 Class, a combination of yoga and high-intensity conditioning. The class is at 12:45 p.m. Sunday, Aug. 30, and you'll get a ticket to the Lynx game that night at 6 p.m. against the Phoenix Mercury. You'll also get free parking in Ramp A during the Alchemy workout.

Sunday night's game against the Phoenix Mercury is also "Girls and Women in Sports Night."

The first 2,500 fans will receive a Cheryl Reeve bobblehead!

Before the game, fans can meet ESPN analyst and Basketball Hall of Famer Rebecca Lobo. Then stick around after the game for a Q&A session with Minnesota's own All Star, Lindsay Whalen!

If you can't make Sunday's game or workout, head to the Target Center Wednesday night as the Lynx host the 7th annual "Catwalk for a Cure!"

Players will be trading in their high tops and uniforms for high heels and dresses.

It starts at 5p.m. Wednesday at Mayo Clinic Square in Minneapolis.

All proceeds from the event benefit the Lynx Foundation which raises money for breast health research and support programs across the state of Minnesota.
