Driver Flees After Minneapolis Crash, Leaves Passenger Pinned

MINNEAPOLIS (WCCO) -- Two people were hospitalized after a crash near Interstate 94 in Minneapolis early Saturday morning.

Police says the accident happened around 2 a.m. on the westbound I-94 exit at Dowling Avenue North.

The car crashed into a guard rail, and police say the driver then got out and fled on foot -- leaving the passenger pinned inside.

Police did catch up to the driver a few blocks away. The passenger had to be extricated.

Both were taken to North Memorial Medical Center, but their conditions are unknown.
