Tap Talk: Tin Whiskers Releases New Pumpkin Ale

The Minnesota State Fair is over. Students have headed back to school. Fall is here.

And with falls comes pumpkin.

Not to be outdone by Starbucks, St. Paul's Tin Whiskers will be introducing their new pumpkin-inspired brew.

Beginning at 4 p.m. on Wednesday, Tin Whiskers will introduce Schottky Pumpkin Ale.

The fall brew uses five different malt varieties, Nugget hops, pumpkin spice and real pumpkin.

"This beer is made with 300 pounds of pumpkin and the perfect blend of pumpkin pie spices," one-third founder and owner Jeff Moriarty said in a recent press release. "It is the perfect balance of a beer that tastes and smells like pumpkin pie, but still drinks like a beer."

As with all their other brews, the name is derived from the electrical engineer subject. It is named after German physicist Walter H. Schottky, who played a major role in developing the theory of electron and ion emission.

Schottky Pumpkin Ale will be available on tap and is 22 oz. bottles wherever Tin Whiskers is sold. For more information, visit Tin Whiskers online.
