4 Your Pets: Fall Into Fun This Weekend

There are several great pet-related events this weekend in the Twin Cities, and kicking things off is one dedicated to an often overlooked pet.

Urban Tails Pet Supply in south Minneapolis is hosting two notable events this weekend, beginning Friday evening with Hoppy Hour! Bring your pet bunny for two hours of adorable socializing, presented by the Minnesota Companion Rabbit Society. It's just $3 for all the furry fun.

Saturday afternoon will be a celebration of dogs and craft beer at UTPS! The third-annual Dog Days of Fall starts at 2 p.m., with Sisyphus Brewing rocking the taps and Clancy's Meats and Fish providing smoked bones for the pooches. This fundraisers benefits Brooklyn Center's No Dogs Left Behind Rescue.

Do you have a pet that suffers from chronic pain, is recovering from surgery or generally carries a lot of stress or anxiety? Deborah Spindler, a Healing Touch for Animals-certified practitioner, with be at Chuck and Don's Wayzata location Saturday at 11 a.m. to discuss the use of energy medicine to help your animal family members.

And get out in our beautiful fall weather Sunday for a 5K fun run in Roseville! The SCAVMA Club from the University of Minnesota's College of Veterinary Medicine is hosting the "Hoof N Woof" fun run and walk at Roseville Central Park starting at 9 a.m. Dogs on leashes are welcome to participate. It costs $15 to register, and all proceeds go to the Pet Project. There will be a Halloween-themed costume contest, warm beverages and a live band on hand. Sign up soon, because spots are going fast!
