MINNEAPOLIS (WCCO) — Minnesotans already know it, but now it’s official: The Minnesota State Fair is the best state fair in the country, according to USA Today readers.
According to the 10Best / USA Today list, Minnesota’s 12-day fair takes the No. 1 spot due to its massiveness – drawing in about 1.8 million visitors a year on its 320-acre fairground – as well as the fact that it received an award for ethics, which is “given to companies with exceptional customer service and integrity.”
Coming just short of the No. 1 spot is Minnesota’s close neighbor, the Iowa State Fair in Des Moines. The Eastern States Exposition in Massachusetts takes the No. 3 spot.
