Victim ID'd In Fatal NE Mpls. Motorcycle Crash

MINNEAPOLIS (WCCO) – The name of the man killed in a Northeast Minneapolis motorcycle accident on Sunday evening has been released.

Brandon John Pearson, 31, died of blunt force injuries suffered in the crash. Authorities said he was not wearing a helmet.

According to the Minneapolis Police Department, shortly after 6 p.m. officers responded to a report of a crash involving a motorcycle and a car on Broadway Street NE, just west of University Avenue NE.

Upon arrival, police found Pearson, of Golden Valley, suffering critical injuries and lying in the road.

He was taken to Hennepin County Medical Center where he later died.

Officers said they believe Pearson was traveling eastbound when he collided with a car that was going westbound.

The cause of the crash is still under investigation.
