MINNEAPOLIS (WCCO) — Authorities have identified the two men shot and killed inside a car in south Minneapolis last Sunday evening.
Neighbors heard gunshots right outside of the Franklin Housing Cooperative building, located near East Franklin Avenue and 22nd Avenue South. Two men were found dead inside the car while a third man injured and was hospitalized overnight.
On Thursday, the Hennepin County Medical Examiner identified the men as 24-year-old Rastem Mohamed Abubakar and 19-year-old Abdulahi Kadir Awuni – both of Minneapolis. Police believe there’s more than one gunman involved and say the suspects fled on foot.
