Shinola North Hosts Pop-Up Market For Small Business Saturday
MINNEAPOLIS (WCCO) – After Thanksgiving, after Black Friday, Small Business Saturday is the next event to celebrate.
The Saturday after Thanksgiving is all about shopping local.
Small Business Saturday started in 2010 and encourages people to get out and support their community by shopping in businesses that call the towns home.
In celebration of the event North Loop's Shinola North is teaming up with Modern Market to offer a small business pop-up market.
From Saturday through Wednesday a new Minnesota company will be featured in-store at Shinola North.
Products featured range from bracelets and breadboards by PrestonMade to furniture by Tandem Made to wooden accessories by Woodchuck.
The pop-up store will be open from 11 a.m. to 6 p.m. Saturday through Wednesday.
A schedule of the stores is as follows:
Saturday, Nov. 28: PrestonMade
Sunday, Nov. 29: Lanona
Monday, Nov. 30: Tandem Made
Tuesday, Dec. 1: Woodchuck
Wednesday, Dec. 2: Wind & Willow Home
On Thursday, Modern Market will host a special closing event featuring items from Be'Witched Deli and drinks from 612 Brew.
Guests are invited to learn more about all of the artisans, as well as the chefs and brewers behind the two Minneapolis institutions.
The event runs from 6 to 9 p.m. and will feature art and music as well. Tickets cost $20.
