Crystal Police Post Run-In With Santa On Facebook

MINNEAPOLIS (WCCO) -- The Crystal Police Department is out and about to make sure the holidays are safe this year.

That means nabbing anyone who breaks the law, including Santa himself.

The department posted on their Facebook page that on Saturday officers were involved with a low-speed run-in with Saint Nick.

They escorted him to the Community Center, where are a crowd was waiting.

"Oddly, it appeared as if people were cheering his arrival," police said in the Facebook posting. "But we're going to pretend it was for us."

Watch video of the run-in below.

It's going to be hard to top yesterday's penguin being arrested photo - but we're going to try. Our officers were involved in a low speed pursuit through Crystal at approximately 1000 hours on 12/05/15. Thankfully, they were able to keep him boxed in, and guided him safely into the Community Center parking lot. Oddly, it appeared as if people were cheering his arrival - but we're going to pretend it was for us. Happy Holidays Crystal
