Police: Shooting In North Mpls. Leaves 1 Injured

MINNEAPOLIS (WCCO) – Officials say a shooting on Minneapolis' north side Monday afternoon left one person with a gunshot wound to the leg.

Minneapolis police say the shooting happened shortly after 4 p.m. and that officers responded to the area near 19th and Newton avenues north.

There, they found a victim with a non-life-threatening gunshot wound.

Police said they aren't sure if the shooting took place where the victim was found. The investigation is on-going.

Emergency crews brought the victim to Hennepin County Medical Center for treatment.

No arrests have been made.
