Retired pro-soccer star Alexi Lalas was a 90s sports icon, and he definitely looked like a grunge rocker. He also has something in common with the aforementioned John Daly: they were both homies with Hootie and the Blowfish. Lalas’ band even opened for Hootie during a leg of one of their European tours.
