Vikings-Packers Game Flexed To Sunday Night
MINNEAPOLIS (WCCO/AP) -- The border battle showdown between the Minnesota Vikings and Green Bay Packers has been rescheduled for a late start Sunday.
The NFL announced it's moving the game at Lambeau Field from a noon start to the 7:30 p.m. time slot.
The North Division title is at stake along with a higher position in the playoff seedings. Both teams have a 10-and-5 record.
The Vikings are coming off a prime time 49-17 Sunday night victory over the New York Giants in Minneapolis. Adrian Peterson ran for 104 yards and a touchdown over three quarters, while Harrison Smith took one of Eli Manning's three interceptions into the end zone. Teddy Bridgewater turned in another sharp December performance, and Blair Walsh chipped in five field goals.
Sunday night's score was the highest for the Vikings since their 50-10 victory over Jacksonville back in 1998.
Meanwhile, the Packers were routed by the Cardinals 38-8 in Arizona Sunday.
