MINNEAPOLIS (WCCO) — Commuters are urged to take it easy heading home Wednesday night as light snow could arrive just in time for the evening commute.

We won’t get a lot of snow, but it could be enough to make the roads slippery. WCCO Meteorologist Matt Brickman says we likely won’t get more than an inch of snow around the Twin Cities Wednesday night, but it also doesn’t take much to create chaos on the roads.

Snow should fall anytime between 5 p.m. and 8 p.m. in the metro before clearing out for the night. Temperatures will remain relatively mild before our next shot of snow arrives late Thursday night into Friday morning.

Then the bitter cold sets in for the weekend.
