MINNEAPOLIS (WCCO) — The man arrested in connection with the armed invasion of a 75-year-old woman’s residence has been charged with fraud.

Deandre Vershawn Wims was charged with one count of financial transaction fraud, according to the Ramsey County Attorney’s Office.

The fraud was allegedly committed with credit cards Wims stole from a resident of Carefree Cottages in Maplewood Saturday.

Police say the victim was strangled until she went unconscious during the afternoon home invasion.

Investigators are still looking for two other suspects involved.

Wims will make his first court appearance Thursday afternoon in St. Paul.
