Mpls. Man Accused Of Soliciting Murders In Belize

MINNEAPOLIS (WCCO) – A Minneapolis man is accused of ordering the deaths of four in Belize.

Bradley Paumen, 58, is facing four counts of abetment of murder.

According to the Police Press Office in Belize, a complaint made on Dec. 11, 2015 alleged that Paumen had solicited the murder of Michael Mudiri, a Belmopan businessman, and three others.

Breaking Belize News said the conspiracy arose over a caving company Paumen owns, Dark Night Cave Tubing, in the Franks Eddy area of Cayo District.

After an initial investigation, Paumen was arrested on Jan. 8, 2016.

He pleaded not guilty and was remanded to prison until March 8. However, several news reports state Paumen posted bail on Monday and was allowed to walk.

The case is currently under investigation.
