MINNEAPOLIS (WCCO) — If you’re looking for the hottest neighborhoods in which to live for 2016, look no further than southeast Minneapolis.

The real estate website Redfin ranked out the top 10 “it” neighborhoods for the forthcoming year, and southeast Minneapolis neighborhoods claimed not one, but two slots on the list.

No other metro area claimed more than one spot on the top 10, which was headlined by Chicago’s Ukrainian Village.

Third on the overall list was Ericsson neighborhood. Powderhorn Park was ranked the ninth hottest.

The website reported that neighborhoods were deemed hot based on the number of pageviews and “favorites” listings received.

The site broke down the results by metro areas, and after Ericsson and Powderhorn Park, Hiawatha neighborhood was also cited as a hot area to live in.

On the website, real estate agent Chris Prescott cited the area’s multitude of summer activities, proximity to Metro Transit’s Blue Line, and affordable single-family homes.
