St. Paul Man Convicted In Armed Robbery, Shooting At Roseville Pawn Shop
MINNEAPOLIS (WCCO) -- A 53-year-old St. Paul man was found guilty Friday of a 2014 armed robbery at a Pawn America, in which he also shot a store employee.
The U.S. Attorney's Office says Marvin Spencer was convicted of a count each of robbery and conspiracy to commit robbery, as well as discharging a firearm during a violent crime. He was also convicted of being a career felon in possession of ammunition.

The criminal complaint states that Spencer and accomplice Derrick Lynch robbed a Roseville Pawn America on July 21, 2014. Spencer admitted to shooting an employee in the leg with a semi-automatic handgun during the robbery, which he said was accidental. He also fired another round in the direction of employees.
Lynch smashed into a display case as Spencer was working crowd control, stealing more than $58,000 worth of jewelry. The duo then stuffed the goods into a duffel bag before fleeing.
A third person was in the getaway vehicle, and later admitted to authorities that they received some of the stolen jewelry.

Lynch was arrested in Woodbury about two weeks later, and Spencer was apprehended in Illinois in late August of that year. Lynch was convicted in December of 2014 for armed robbery and aiding and abetting Spencer.
