Judge Finds Woman Guilty In Minneapolis Transit Stabbing
MINNEAPOLIS (AP) — A Hennepin County judge has found a woman guilty in a fatal stabbing at a transit station and parking ramp in Minneapolis.
The provisional ruling from Judge Daniel Mabley Wednesday follows a trial in which lawyers agreed on the facts in the case, but disagreed on whether the defendant was guilty as charged.
Authorities say Ivory May Andis had been fighting with the victim, Dargenella Wade, last June. Wade sprayed mace on Andis and her boyfriend Tylor Jorgensen. Prosecutors say Jorgenson gave Andis a knife. First responders found the 44-year-old victim had been stabbed repeatedly. She died a short time later at Hennepin County Medical Center..
Mabley will sentence Andis on April 11 after finding her guilty. Wade Jorgensen is scheduled for trial the same day, also on charges of second-degree murder.
