MINNEAPOLIS (WCCO) — Crow Wing County’s bomb squad detonated an explosive that was found in a shed Friday.

Someone reported suspicious materials on a property in Douglas County off County Road 107.

Deputies called in Crow Wing’s bomb squad, who determined the materials in the shed were in fact explosive.

The squad decided to detonate on site because they did not feel they could safely transport the materials away.

Authorities say the explosion was in an isolated area, and there was no threat to other residents.
