MINNEAPOLIS (WCCO) — Two Minnesota members of Congress will be going to Cuba with President Barack Obama next week.

According to the offices of Republican Rep. Tom Emmer and Democratic Sen. Amy Klobuchar, both lawmakers will be with other Republican and Democratic leaders traveling to the island nation for two days.

Obama is trying to restore ties with Cuba after more than 50 years of Cold War tensions.

Emmer and Klobuchar have been trying to get their colleagues in Congress to lift the Cuban trade embargo.
