MINNEAPOLIS (WCCO) – A 16-year-old girl was arrested Friday night after attempting to attack her family and fleeing police.

According to the Meeker County Sheriff’s Office, around 8:12 p.m. deputies received a call of a domestic situation on the 27500 block of 695th Avenue in Dassel.

The caller said a teen girl, later identified as Olivia Schwartz, was trying to attack the family with a knife. Schwartz had since left the house and was sitting in a vehicle outside.

Upon arrival, Schwartz fled police in the car and led them on a chase through a plowed field.

During the chase, the car got stuck and Schwartz then fled on foot. Officers were able to apprehend her without further incident.

Schwartz is being held at Prairie Lakes Detention Center. She is awaiting formal charges of terroristic threats and fleeing a police officer.
