State Patrol: I-94 EB Closed Following Fatal Crash

MINNEAPOLIS (WCCO) -- Interstate 94 eastbound was closed Monday evening following a crash that left one man dead and a woman in critical condition, according to State Patrol.

The woman was driving her Chevy Blazer on westbound I-94 near Highway 280 when she crossed over and hit a car traveling on eastbound I-94. The man died at the scene. The woman was transported to Hennepin County Medical Center and is in critical condition.

A Metro Transit bus was also involved in the crash. The man's vehicle struck the bus when it was hit by the Blazer. Four passengers were transported to Regions Hospital with non-life threatening injuries. The bus driver suffered no injuries.

The highway reopened shortly before 9 p.m.
