This week, Local Music Tap looks at three great album releases (who doesn’t like fresh music?) and a bluegrass show that benefits students with autism.
Electro pop duo up-and-comers Holidae will be releasing their debut album, “Tantrum”, at the Icehouse Friday.
The night will be hosted by Sophia Eris & Manchita of GRRRL PRTY, with Eris providing DJ sets.

Saturday: Soap Album Release Show @ Cabooze – Mpls
Dance-rock quartet and Twin Cities staple, Soap, will be performing a show at their usual digs – the Cabooze – Saturday.
The show is a celebration of their upcoming full-length album, “The Life We Live”, which will be released to the public on Tuesday, April 26. Attendants will, however, be able to purchase albums at the show.
Kind Country and Neon Giant join the bill. Doors open at 8:30 p.m. with music starting at 9 p.m. Tickets for the 18-plus show are $10 advance and $12 door.
Listen to some great bluegrass music and benefit students on the autism spectrum – at the same time – this Saturday.
The 3rd annual Pickin’ For Autism is coming to the Amsterdam Bar and includes performances from Lucy Michelle, Katey Bellville and Tin Can Gin.
The 21-plus show, which benefits Lionsgate Academy, begins at 7 p.m. with doors opening at 6:30 p.m.
Thur/Fri/Sun: Davina & The Vagabonds Album Release @ Dakota – Mpls
Davina and the Vagabonds are celebrating the release of their live CD – “Nicollet and Tenth” – with FOUR shows this week/weekend.
They’ll be performing at the very place they recorded the CD, the Dakota Jazz Club, on Thursday, Friday and Sunday.
