Wander Minnesota: Tulips (About To Be) In Bloom
You know that old saying: "Go big or go home"?
The Minnesota Landscape Arboretum really takes that to heart when it comes to spring bulbs.
A visit a couple days ago found that the arb's extensive bulb collection is just on the verge of going full bloom.
As you can see from these photo, there are a great many tulips on the verge of greatness.
And that's saying something. The arboretum has planted 30,000 tulip bulbs as well as another 10,000 spring bulbs, and the lilacs and crabapples are also beginning to open up.
Soon, maybe even this weekend while the weather is supposed to be perfectly spring-like, colors will burst forth.
Take advantage of the lovely weather -- especially after all the rainy days -- and make the trek to Chaska to see a spring display like none other.
Note: The Arboretum is just a few miles west of Paisley Park on Highway 5, so you could enjoy the flowers and pay tribute on the same trip.
