Vikings Sign 10 Undrafted Free Agents

MINNEAPOLIS (WCCO) -- The Minnesota Vikings remained busy after the NFL Draft on Saturday, signing 10 undrafted free agents over the weekend.

The Vikings agreed to terms with those players and announced them all on Monday. The two names most familiar to Vikings fans are former Gophers defensive end Theiren Cockran and Wisconsin quarterback Joel Stave.

Cockran played in 52 career college games for Minnesota and had 87 career tackles, including 25 for a loss and 15.5 sacks.

Stave played quarterback for four seasons at Wisconsin. His best year came in 2013, when he threw for nearly 2,500 yards and 22 touchdowns with 13 interceptions. Last season, he had 2,687 yards passing and 11 touchdowns but also threw 11 interceptions.

Other players include Marshall cornerback Keith Baxter, Penn State tight end Kyle Carter, Georgia linebacker Jake Ganus, UMass-Amherst receiver Marken Michel, Florida International defensive end Denzell Perine, New Mexico running back Jhurell Pressley, Kentucky State cornerback Eric Rawls and Maryland running back Brandon Ross.
