For the second year in a row, Boom Island is inviting beer and dog lovers to come together, share a pint, socialize their pups and learn more about local dog rescues.

For aspiring dog owners, Grey Face Rescue & Retirement, Minnesota Sheltie Rescue, Pet Project Rescue, Save-A-Bull Rescue, Secondhand Hounds, Twin Cities Pet Rescue and Upper Midwest Great Dance Rescue will all be on hand to answer any questions about dog adoption. There will even be some adoptable pups on site!

Local vendors will also be on hand selling goodies for patrons and pups. Secondhand Hounds will have some merchandise for sale, all proceeds of which will go directly back to the rescue organization. And, Nate Dogs hotdog stand will also be selling food throughout the day.

Water will be available for dogs and their humans, too.

Pints & Pups takes place Saturday, May 14 in the parking lot of Boom Island Brewing Company's taproom, located at 2014 N. Washington Avenue. The event goes from 1 to 9 p.m. Rescue vendors will be on site between 1 and 6 p.m. For more information, visit Boom Island Brewing Company online.
