Col. Hts., St. Anthony Police Seeking Home Invasion Suspect

MINNEAPOLIS (WCCO) -- Police are asking for the public's help in finding a man suspected of entering several homes and sexually assaulting a young woman.

Jarid Troy Alan Jovanovich, 28, is suspected of entering homes in Columbia Heights and St. Anthony and attempting to enter several other homes during the early morning Sunday, according to the Anoka County Sheriff's Office.

In one home Jovanovich entered, two juvenile females were sleeping. He sexually assaulted one of the women, the sheriff's office said.

Jovanovich is described as being about 6 feet 3 inches tall and 195 pounds. Police were told he was wearing a white baseball cap and red shirt the night he entered the homes.

He was seen in St. Anthony on Sunday evening and south Minneapolis on Monday morning.

Anyone with information about Jovanovich should call 911 or the Anoka County Sheriff's Office at 763-427-1212. Police do not know if he is armed, but urge caution if they encounter him.
