Golden Valley Police: Man Claimed He Was Having Heart Attack After Chase

MINNEAPOLIS (WCCO) -- Police are monitoring a man at a local hospital who claimed he was having a heart attack after leading them on a short chase.

According to Golden Valley police, authorities responded to a woman who called and said she was involved in a domestic disturbance. When police arrived, they found a male, female and young child in a vehicle.

The vehicle avoided police cars and led them on a short chase to the 1900 block of Olson Memorial Highway. The male suspect then surrendered and claimed someone had pointed a gun at him earlier.

The man then claimed he was having a heart attack. He was taken to a local medical facility.

Police are currently monitoring the man and expect to charge the man once he is released.
