Downtown Spring Grove Evacuated Over Threat
MINNEAPOLIS (WCCO) -- A small southeastern Minnesota town is back to normal following a bomb scare Friday.
Buildings in downtown Spring Grove, including all government buildings, were evacuated or put on lockdown at about 1:30 p.m.
Someone called the Houston County Sheriff's Office to say they planted an explosive in a vehicle in the downtown area.
Traffic was shut down for hours in parts of the town, and several agencies -- including the St. Paul Police Department's bomb squad -- responded to the scene.
Police say they did not find anything, and residents were allowed to return to their homes at about 8:40 p.m.
No one is in custody, and police say this appears to be an isolated incident.
