Police: Car Plunges Into Burnsville Pond, 1 Hospitalized
MINNEAPOLIS (WCCO) – A woman was hospitalized after a vehicle went into a pond south of the Twin Cities metro Wednesday afternoon, according to police.
The Burnsville Police Department responded at about 4:30 p.m. to a report of a vehicle in a pond at 11111 River Hills Drive. When officers arrived, they located a vehicle in the water with an adult female inside.
Emergency crews were able to get the woman out the vehicle, and she was transported to a hospital with injuries. Her condition is not known.
Authorities say no other vehicles were involved in the accident, and what led up to the car going into the pond is under investigation.
