MINNEAPOLIS (WCCO) – Officials have identified the man shot and killed Monday by a security guard in Eagan.

The Hennepin County Medical Examiner's Office said 25-year-old Davon Wiley, of Minneapolis, died of multiple gunshot wounds. His manner of death is listed as homicide.

Eagan police say Wiley was shot early Monday morning at an office park on Aldrich Drive. The security guard told officers that he shot someone who attempted to rob him.

Officers found Wiley dead at the scene, wearing a mask. Police say they believe the security guard, who suffered minor injuries, acted in self-defense.

The shooting remains under investigation by Eagan police and the Hennepin County Medical Examiner's Office.
