Man Hospitalized Following Kitchen Fire In South Minneapolis

MINNEAPOLIS (WCCO) – A man has been hospitalized following a kitchen fire in south Minneapolis early Thursday morning.

According to the Minneapolis Fire Department, around 12:15 a.m. firefighters were called to the 1400 block of Portland Avenue South on a report of a house fire.

Upon arrival, first responders found a man who was having trouble breathing.

He was taken to Hennepin County Medical Center in critical condition.

Firefighters put out the fire and said it was isolated to the kitchen.
