MINNEAPOLIS (WCCO) — When it comes to wine, is that pricey bottle really better? A new study found that our brains may be tricking us into thinking so.

The researchers put wine lovers in an MRI to measure their brain activity. They saw a price tag then sipped wine.

After rating it, they tried a wine with a higher price tag, but it was actually the same wine. Their brains, however, showed more excitement and the wine drinkers thought it tasted better.
