Minnesota United's 4-Game Skid Snapped With 2-1 Win Over Dynamo

MINNEAPOLIS (AP) — Ibson Barreto da Silva and Darwin Quintero each scored to help Minnesota United beat the Houston Dynamo 2-1 on Saturday night and end a four-game skid.

Ibson redirected a cross by Miguel Ibarra to give Minnesota (3-5-0) a 2-1 lead in the 70th minute. Ibarra tapped it to Martin on the right side, who led Ibarra toward the goal line where he fed Ibson for the finish just inside the far post.

Houston's Alberth Elis opened the scoring in the 10th when Romell Quioto played a cross to Elis for a sliding goal into a wide-open net.

Quintero converted from the spot to make it 1-1 in the 40th minute after Alejandro Fuenmayor was called for a hand ball in the area.

The Dynamo (2-3-2) outshot Minnesota 19-6.

Minnesota has allowed a goal in 20 consecutive matches, the longest active streak of its kind in MLS.
