MINNEAPOLIS (WCCO) — The State Patrol is looking for the driver of a semi that side-swiped a trooper on Interstate 94.

The trooper was pulling up behind a chain of crashed vehicles on the slippery freeway at Mounds Boulevard Wednesday night when the semi hit the squad, then kept driving.

The semi would have damage to the front passenger side of the cab, the State Patrol informs.

The trooper was not hurt.

Anyone with information is asked to call the State Patrol.

Looks like he cut off the semi to me.

Can we see the footage prior to that, we know it exist’s, It all so appears he did not have his emergency lights on. So show the whole story not just what you want us to see. back up the video one minute before this.

If he couldn’t see the crash ahead he’d have hit that regardless as close as they were at impact. It was a hit and run. Going too fast in bad conditions and not paying attention to what’s ahead of you. How can you tell if his emergency lights were on? They have the capability to run them in the back to alert oncoming traffic. Either way you can’t hit anything and say it’s not your fault and bolt. It’s a crime.
