UPDATE (11 a.m. Friday) – The Minneapolis Fire Department expects repairs to be completed and service restored by Friday afternoon.

MINNEAPOLIS (WCCO) — Fire crews are at the scene of a natural gas leak in north Minneapolis Thursday morning.

According to the Minneapolis Fire Department, buildings near Plymouth and Russell avenues have been evacuated.

Officials are asking the public to avoid the area.
