U Of M Track Star Set To Run For Trinidad and Tobago Olympic Team

MINNEAPOLIS (WCCO) - The Trinidad and Tobago Olympic Committee announced U of M track and field runner Kion Benjamin as a part of their Tokyo 2020 Olympic team Saturday night.

Benjamin will represent his home country as a native of Port Spain, Trinidad & Tobago, as a member of the 4x100 meter relay team.

Benjamin recently concluded his sophomore season with the Gophers and won the 2021 Big Ten title in the outdoor 100 meters as well as setting two outdoor school records.
