Monday Marks Deadline For Fish House Removal On Most Minnesota Lakes

MINNEAPOLIS (WCCO) -- If you haven't already, it's time to pull your fish house off the lake.

Anglers have until the end of Monday to remove structures in the southern two-thirds of Minnesota. The northern counties have until the end of day on March 21.

The Minnesota Department of Natural Resources is asking that houses, the belongings inside and garbage come off the ice.

When things are left behind, and the ice melts, those items fall into lakes and litter shorelines.
