Minneapolis Park Board To Vote On Working With MPD Wednesday Night
MINNEAPOLIS (WCCO) -- The Minneapolis Park and Recreation Board will vote Wednesday night on whether to start working with the city's police department again.
The board decided to stop working with MPD shortly after former officer Derek Chauvin murdered George Floyd.
Now, the park board says it does not have the resources it needs to bring back large events.
Two weeks ago, a parks committee voted to repeal its decision. The entire board will vote Wednesday night.
