As the largest outdoor municipal water park in the region, Eagan's Cascade Bay is a hot spot over the summer months and, best of all, it appeals to all ages. The property features zero-depth entry points, a variety of water slides and a Lazy River complete with Rocky Rapids. There's even a nine-hole miniature golf course called Captain's Course.

The 2,000 acres of Lebanon Hills Regional Park is a year-round wonderland. The park has 14 miles of summer hiking trails and 12 miles of winter ski trails and a lakeside beach beckoning swimmers during the warm months. Depending upon the season, ski, snowshoe, canoe and kayak rentals are available at the Lebanon Hills Visitor Center.

The scenic 60-acre Caponi Art Park and Learning Center is an outdoor educational experience with free cultural and educational experiences and summer programs which includes Family Fun Tuesdays, Shakespeare Festival and Poets in the Park. Entering the gates of lakeside Holz Farm is like stepping back to this homestead's 1870's beginnings. What was once a working farm is now a living history farm which is celebrated with year-round seasonal events filled with rope making, tractor and hay rides, homemade cookies and hot apple cider. Volunteer-based Friends of the Farm help keep the farm functioning throughout the year.

The Trapp Farm Park Tubing Hill is located in a neighborhood on Wilderness Run Road between Dodd Road and Lexington Avenue. Tubes are available for rental every winter after a snow base of 6-8 inches is formed. Personal sleds and tubes may not be used during operational hours. Speaking from firsthand experience, the hill is steep and there is no tow, so expect to get a good workout. A warming hut is nearby.
