Wrestling is rich in Minnesota, producing scores of professionals throughout history from Bronko Nagurski to Jesse “The Body” Ventura. Verne Gagne made Minneapolis a national focal point for three decades with his American Wrestling Association. Steel Domain Wrestling of Lakeville, Minnesota started promoting professional wrestling in 1998. It is now the longest running active professional wrestling promotion in Minnesota. It has been the breeding ground for many national pro wrestling stars like CM Punk, Colt Cabana, Adam Pearce and Austin Aries. Prime Time Wrestling has been packing the wrestling halls with creative events since 2011. Minneapolis based pro wrestling group, F1RST Wrestling, has been thrilling local audiences with popular matches since 2007.
