BRAINERD, Minn. (WCCO) – All this week we’re going to some of your favorite lake places, and Frank and Chris made their way to Brainerd on Wednesday.

From being home to Paul Bunyan and Babe the Blue Ox, to playing host to scuba diving enthusiasts, Brainerd has a lot to offer.

The northern Minnesota destination is also great for golf (four local courses), water activities, and even a spa for days when you’re not sure about the weather — like on Wednesday.

Frank and Chris asked the boss of Brainerd for some sun, but they had a backup plan: the spa at Madden’s Resort.

As it turns out, Brainerd is a hot spot for diving enthusiasts and it’s all because of what went on in this area at the turn of the 20th century.

10 p.m.

Frank & Chris Drag Race

Frank got behind the wheel of a Corvette and Chris drove the RV at Brainerd International Raceway. Wonder who won the race?

Whitefish Chain is reportedly the third-most expensive lake in Minnesota to buy a cabin, right behind Lake Minnetonka and Gull Lake.
