Plans Call For Paisley Park To Become Museum
MINNEAPOLIS (WCCO) -- For anyone who has never gotten the chance to go inside Paisley Park, it looks like the opportunity is still a distinct possibility.
Following the death of music legend and Chanhassen fixture Prince last week, reports suggest his 50,000-square-foot residence will ultimately become a museum.
Prince's brother-in-law has told media that there are plans to turn the recording studio and entertainment complex into a memorial site for fans.
Sheila E., who has been asked to oversee a forthcoming musical tribute for the artist following his death at Paisley Park April 21, has also indicated to "Entertainment Tonight" that the site future would likely become a museum.
The $10 million complex was not only used as a recording studio, but also a space for rehearsal, video production, and any number of overnight impromptu concerts. The Saturday before his death, Prince held a dance party in Paisley Park's auditorium.
