State Patrol Reports More Than 300 Crashes After Snow Blankets Minnesota Thursday

MINNEAPOLIS (WCCO) — The Minnesota State Patrol says there were 146 crashes on Thursday morning after the state got between 1 to 3 inches of snow.

Then, between 11 a.m. and 4:30 p.m. there were 155 crashes, bringing the total to 301 crashes on Thursday.

Law enforcement reported 33 crashes that resulted in an injury. None of those injuries were serious or fatal.

Statewide, 199 cars have spun out or left the road because of the slick conditions.

A large crash involving 20 cars and 6 semi-trucks shut down northbound Interstate 35 near Owatonna this morning.
